Oneida County Republican Committee Announces 2026 Candidate Endorsements
UTICA, NY — The Oneida County Republican Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Ken Roser, proudly announces its official endorsements for the 2026 election cycle following the Committee’s endorsement meeting held on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
After a thorough and deliberate review process, the Committee endorsed the following candidates, all of whom demonstrated strong qualifications, proven leadership, and a clear commitment to serving the people of Oneida County and New York State:

Statement of Support for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
On behalf of the Oneida County Republican Party Committee, I am proud to recognize January 9 as Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a day dedicated to honoring the men and women who serve and protect our communities every day.
Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep our neighborhoods safe. They respond to emergencies, prevent crime, uphold the rule of law, and often do so under difficult and dangerous circumstances—all while serving with professionalism, courage, and dedication.
Law enforcement agencies cannot do their jobs alone. Effective public safety depends on trust, cooperation, and mutual respect between officers and the communities they serve. On this day, we encourage residents to show their appreciation by wearing blue, sending messages or cards of support to local police departments, and sharing positive interactions with law enforcement on social media.
The Oneida County Republican Party stands firmly behind our police officers, sheriffs, state troopers, corrections officers, and all law enforcement professionals. We thank them for their service, their sacrifice, and their unwavering commitment to protecting the public and preserving public order.

**STATEMENT FROM ONEIDA COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN KEN ROSER ON PRESIDENT TRUMP’S ACTIONS AGAINST VENEZUELA AND THE DRUG CRISIS IMPACTING ONEIDA COUNTY**
UTICA, NY — Oneida County Republican Committee Chairman Ken Roser issued the following statement today in response to President Donald J. Trump’s actions targeting the Maduro regime in Venezuela and the growing fentanyl crisis impacting New York communities:
“I commend President Trump for taking decisive action against the Maduro regime in Venezuela—an authoritarian government whose corruption, criminal networks, and disregard for human life have fueled instability and the global drug trade. These are not abstract foreign policy issues. The consequences are being felt directly in communities like Oneida County.”
“Fentanyl and other synthetic opioids are killing Americans at an unprecedented rate. In just 2020 and 2021, roughly 127,000 Americans died from overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids—exceeding the total number of U.S. military deaths in the Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars combined. Today, nationwide overdose deaths surpass 100,000 per year.”
“Here in New York State, and in Oneida County, families are grieving while soft-on-crime policies, weak border enforcement, and appeasement of hostile regimes continue to enable this deadly pipeline. This is no longer solely a public-health issue—it is a national security crisis that demands leadership, accountability, and enforcement.”
“Oneida County Republicans stand firmly with President Trump in saying that America will no longer tolerate regimes and policies that poison our communities, undermine the rule of law, and endanger our children. We must secure our borders, confront hostile actors abroad, support law enforcement, and restore a government that puts the safety of its citizens first.”
